We laser-level the base so the arena sits dead true with exactly the fall it needs. That precision is what makes water run where you planned it to instead of pooling - the difference between an arena you can use after rain and one you can't.
Drainage and sub-base
Under the riding surface goes a properly formed, drained sub-base. We shape and compact it, build in the drainage the site needs, and set it up so surface water sheds off rather than sitting in the going. It's the same discipline we bring to every earthworks job - the finish is only as good as the ground under it.
